It truly felt as if spring sprung the morning of Nadia and Evan's wedding. Nadia's inspiration for her's and Evan's wedding day was a clean and classic European Old World wedding. She grew up in Portugal and wanted to include a bit of her history and travels into their wedding day. The Woodlands is the perfect venue for this, featuring a ceremony space with a stunning colonnade that delivers that old world Italian feel.

Nadia wore an elegant v-neck dress with lacy sleeve, back and train details. The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in blue, some solid and some featuring floral patterns, perfect for their beautiful spring wedding day. Evan wore a classic black tuxedo with a white rose and baby's breath boutonniere and his groomsmen were dressed in black suits with black ties.

Both Nadia and Evan are Seventh Day Adventist and studied at Southern Adventist University. Nadia had been praying for a man who would share and support her in her faith; then multiple things happened at once. Shortly after moving to Tennessee, Evan came into her life. They hit it off right away and Evan contacted her family asking for permission to pursue a relationship with Nadia; it turns out her family were smitten with him too. Her sister's encouragement to commit to the relationship more seriously was a sign to Nadia that she had found someone special. They shared a weekly date night every Wednesday, a day that represents balance and growth. Evan and Nadia got engaged and married on a Wednesday, making it a day of the week they will always cherish together.

Nadia had a first look with her brother in law, who she is very close to, before taking photos with her bridesmaids. She then shared a first touch before the ceremony with Evan, allowing them to share private vows and a prayer together before the ceremony.

Their venue offered a plethora of options for stunning backdrops both inside and out. The Woodlands is an impeccably detailed space with every detail considered. Nadia fell in love with it for the outdoor ceremony site, but was taken by the stunning interior and spiral staircase as well. As a photographer, I wished for more areas of open shade, but was delighted by the multitude of breathtaking options for unique settings.

The old world feeling they desired was truly brought to life as their guests began to arrive for the ceremony. The ceremony was a time of worship and celebration. Family and friends added a special touch as they joined together at the arbor playing instruments and singing together in praise. The couple shared their own vows before partaking in a foot-washing ceremony, a ritual that represents humility, respect and a commitment to serve one another throughout their journey in marriage.

Exploring the grounds and their rapport during Nadia and Evan's couples session was a delight. From the walk-through gardens to an open field with their venue in the background to spectacular archways incorporated into the architecture it was truly a treat to work with this smitten couple. They were down-right giddy with one another and were absolute naturals in front of the camera. The sun-kissed photos taken in front of the venue with the classic car are simply to die for.

Upon entering the reception site guests were greeted by a grand spacious event space with grand windows and doorways, elegant chandeliers and tall floral arrangements featuring white roses and cascading greenery.

Nadia changed into a second dress before making her grand entrance with Evan as newlyweds. Her reception attire was a three quarter length empire waist fit and flare sleeveless dress that she elevated with elbow length lacy gloves. The newlyweds shared their first dance together in front of the spiral staircase. Afterwards they were able to mingle with their guests as everyone enjoyed dinner homemade by the brides family.

After dinner they cut their cake, which was also prepared by Nadia's family. I've gotta say there are some mad skills in her family; the cake looked like it came straight out of a bakery's window! Next the Best Man and Matron of Honor delivered speeches celebrating the newlyweds love and commitment. Evan and Nadia then played the shoe game and finally encouraged their guests to celebrate with them by rejoicing through dance. DJ Dutty did a fantastic job entertaining and encouraged everyone to celebrate with the happy couple.

A sparkler exit closed out the festivities with a touch of magic as Nadia and Evan ran happily through the shimmering lights and sharing a dramatic dip kiss along the way. They then got in their classic getaway car, waving as they were driven towards the horizon.
